Returning to Us is led by Charlie and her wife, Liv, partners in life and in the practice of intentional connection. Married for three years after choosing each other quickly, communication and intentionality have always been at the core of our relationship and continue to guide our individual and shared growth.
This retreat was created from our desire to help couples reconnect in a world that often feels rushed and disconnected. We believe relationships don’t need fixing. They need space, care, and presence to thrive.
This retreat is for all couples, exactly as you are, with no pressure, no expectations, just an invitation to arrive honestly and take what you need.
Absolutely. This retreat is not about being an experienced yogi. All yoga practices will be accessible, gentle, and optional, with an emphasis on connection rather than physical ability. Your partner does not need any prior yoga experience to fully participate and enjoy the retreat.
Yes. This retreat is inclusive of all couples, including LGBTQ+ couples, married and non-married partners, long-term partnerships, newer relationships, and couples in all stages of their journey. This retreat is not limited to any specific relationship structure or milestone.
This retreat is for couples who:
Want to slow down and reconnect in an intentional way
Value communication, presence, and shared experiences
Are open to gentle movement, reflection, and guided connection
Want dedicated time away from daily distractions
Are curious about deepening their relationship without pressure or performance
You do not need yoga experience, a “perfect” relationship, or a specific goal. Whether you’re feeling deeply connected or simply wanting more intentional time together, you are welcome here.
This retreat may not be the right fit if you are:
Looking for couples therapy or crisis intervention
Expecting a highly physical or fitness-focused yoga experience
Uncomfortable with group settings or shared reflective activities
Seeking a rigid schedule with little personal downtime
This experience is designed to be spacious, supportive, and invitational.
Each day of the retreat offers a gentle rhythm of movement, connection, nourishment, and spacious free time—balancing guided experiences with time to rest and explore.
You’ll begin mornings with grounding yoga followed by a nourishing breakfast. Midday includes intentional partner workshops or hands-on experiences, with plenty of open time for hiking, rest, optional massages, or your couples photo session. Evenings are slower and more communal, featuring shared meals, fireside connection, and reflective rituals.
The retreat opens with an arrival day focused on settling in and intention setting, and closes with a grounding yoga practice and closing circle, allowing you to leave feeling connected, restored, and supported without feeling rushed or over-scheduled.
Yes. However, this retreat is not therapy. We are not certified therapists. This retreat is however designed to support connection, communication, and presence wherever you are in your relationship.
No. All activities are optional. You are encouraged to listen to your needs and participate in a way that feels supportive for you and your partner. All activities are offered with choice, consent, and flexibility so each couple can engage in a way that feels supportive and aligned for them.
